"Simplicity is Sometimes Best!"   Finished on 3/31/01, this masterpiece is comprised of a one-of-a-kind custom cut 31.67ct Ametrine, set in a custom 11.84dwt 14k yellow gold setting. The stone is held in place by (3) 18ga prongs placed at the midpoints of the sides. The prongs are hard to see in the pictures because of the light refraction from the stone. The pendent stands 1 5/8" tall x 1 1/2" wide and is over 1/4" thick.
The stone was carved by Michael Dyber; the only American to ever win the International Gem Cutting Competition in Europe. More of his amazing creations can be found at Michael Dyber's Website, or if you ask, I will get you pictures of the few stones I have in my portfolio.
The customer for this piece hand picked the stone from the Dyber collection and then brought it to me for a custom setting.
